2017 marks the 50th anniversary of Pink Floyd’s 1967 debut single Arnold Layne, their groundbreaking album The Piper At The Gates Of Dawn and on top of that their first two appearances in The Netherlands. A television sessions on April 29th was followed by a concert during the Hippy Happy Fair on November 13th at the Ahoy’ venue in Rotterdam. The 256-page hardback book Pink Floyd in Nederland details those fifty years and will be out on November 13th via Permafrost Publishers. The book launch also includes a series of theater documentary dates at venues where the band performed in those early days, including Paradiso (Amsterdam), Kolpinghuis (Nijmegen), De Pas (Heesch) and Concertgebouw (now Arsenaaltheater, Vlissingen).
